A superb old pathe news piece featuring Englands only Horror star of the 1930s, famous for his melodramatic film work..mostly cinematic versions of the Villainous Victorian plays he played for many years on the stage such as “Maria Martin The Murder in the Red Barn”, “Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street” and “The Greed Of William Hart”. For anyone unaquainted with Mr Slaughters work…especially those with a love for old films such as the Universal horrors, you will LOVE Todds films…go seek them out!
