What is the best way of transportation from Tampa airport to Anna Maria Island in Florida?

We’re meeting people at Anna Maria island that already have a car so we need a one way to get there. We fly into Tampa airport. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

Take Super Shuttle or one of the other shuttle companies to Anna Maria Island. If you’re only going to be there for a few days, it might be cheaper to rent a car. There’s no public transportation between Hillsborough County, where Tampa is, and Manatee County, where Anna Maria Island is.
